Brewing coffee itself is so much fun and with a Bunn Coffee maker, it gets easier and super fun. You get to brew your coffee to your taste without stressing yourself down to a coffee shop. In fact, you get to impress your family and friends with your brewing skills. The coffee maker has the following parts: a carafe (flask), lid, valve, brew basket, filter, lid, power cord, and switch.

The first step is to prepare the machine for brewing. Make sure that the machine is unplugged or switched off. Common to most Bunn coffee makers, the machine uses a carafe which is located down the warmer button and on top of the heating element. It also uses a brewing basket or funnel that accommodates the ground coffee and guides the brewed coffee into the carafe.

Insert an empty brew basket (the funnel) into the machine such that it is positioned on top of the brewing container. Slide or lift the lid of the coffee maker. Carefully pour a full carafe of water into the reservoir. The first step is completed when you return the lid.

In the second step, you place the carafe on the warmer. Wait for a few minutes so that the water can flow to the reservoir. You have to add more water until the reservoir is filled up. It is very important that the reservoir is filled up with water. After each addition of water, ensure you place the carafe and brew basket in their positions before closing the lid. A good way to know if the reservoir is full is when little water flows into the carafe after closing the lid.

Clean up any traces of water and plug in the machine to the socket. Switch on the machine. While some machines will power on instantly, some may require that you press a switch. By switching on the machine, the machine should start brewing. Do not bulge if it doesn’t come on. It may be as a result of a faulty socket or cord. You can call a technician to check it for you. Also, unplug the power cord when you notice this.

In the third step, wait for about thirteen to fifteen minutes. This allows the water to boil, increasing the temperature to make brewing easier and faster. Generally, the water should be at optimum brewing temperature in a short time. Finally, it is time to brew your coffee.

In the last step, remove the brew basket and put a coffee filter into it. Carefully pour the ground coffee into the coffee filter. When pouring the ground coffee, shake the filter carefully to prevent the ground coffee from sticking to the coffee filter and allowing it to spread evenly. You can also use a spoon to transfer the ground coffee. Two ounces (or one tablespoon) of ground coffee should yield about a cup of coffee. Based on the calculation, you can effectively calculate the amount of ground coffee you would be needing. After putting your ground coffee, return the brew basket to its original position

To begin the brewing process, switch on the warmer button. Brewing should start instantly. The water in the tank will start entering the brew basket and the brewed coffee will start entering the carafe. The brewing should not last more than four minutes. When the coffee is completely brewed, turn the switch off. Remove the carafe and pour some tasty coffee into your cup when ready.

Conclusion

Brewing coffee at home is very great. It saves time and money. Having a Bunn Coffee maker is good as it produces coffee with great taste. Now that you have learned how to use Bunn Coffee maker, brewing should get easier and you should become an expert. It is important to also familiarize yourself with any device by reading the manufacturer’s guide.

However, regardless of how great you can handle the machine, it is important to spend more time cleaning the machine. Cleaning the body of the machine is not enough. The parts directly involved in the brewing such as the brew basket and carafe should be cleaned properly. Coffee with poor taste can be as a result of not cleaning the machine. Never forget to discard the content of the brew basket after use. Do enjoy your coffee!
